WHY CHOOSE JAPAN?

WORLD-CLASS HOSPITALITY AND SERVICE

Japan is renowned for its high standard of hospitality. Traditional Japanese hospitality is deeply rooted in a culture of courtesy and consideration of others, especially towards foreign visitors. Hospitality remains a key part of Japanese culture today. We consistently get fantastic feedback from travel organizers and group members and delegates on the high quality of service they receive during their time in Japan. In fact, satisfaction surveys of visitors to Japan show that 91% of respondents are either "very satisfied" or "satisfied" with their trip, and an amazing 93% want to visit again.

DIVERSE SEASONS AND BEAUTIFUL SCENERY

Japan has four distinct seasons, each with its own characteristic beauty. In spring, flowers begin to bloom and the country is covered in cherry blossoms. In summer, the hot weather is perfect for water sports. Fall brings scarlet and gold leaves and spectacular mountain views. In winter, there is snow in many areas and residents ski and participate in winter sports. Whatever the weather, there are scenic landscapes to enjoy.

FUSION OF TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Japan is one of the most developed countries in the world, with cutting edge technology and engineering. At the same time, it has a wealth of traditional culture, architecture, and art, with 11 World Heritage Sites. Japan is also a major force in popular culture, a leader in animation, fashion, and entertainment.

THE VARIETY OF A CONTINENT IN A SINGLE COUNTRY

Japan stretches a considerable distance from north to south, all the way from the sub-arctic zone of northern Hokkaido to subtropical Okinawa. With this huge geographic variety comes a great diversity of destinations and activities available to visitors. Japan's various cities and regions offer everything from snowy mountainside ski resorts to coral reef-ringed islands, with large metropolitan areas and charming rural villages.

DEVELOPED TRANSPORTATION NETWORK

Japan's advanced transportation network makes traveling quick, convenient, and comfortable. The different regions of Japan are all connected by air, rail, or highway. For a thrilling adventure, students can ride a bullet train and experience what seems to be “faster than a speeding bullet.”

EXCELLENT CHOICE OF ACCOMMODATIONS AND FOOD

Japan boasts a wide variety of accommodations, from traditional Japanese inns to five-star hotels. One of the pleasures of visiting Japan is its rich culinary tradition. Although you can eat food from all over the world, you will find that Japanese cuisine is delicious and varied.

Try authentic sushi and tempura, or, for the budget conscious, sample creative dishes like Japanese pancakes (Okonomiyaki) and rice and beef bowls (Gyudon). With such diversity in housing and food, there is something for every taste and budget.

SAFE AND COMFORTABLE STAY

Japan is a very safe country for students to visit since it has a low crime rate and advanced communication and medical care. It is common for female students to walk around at night alone.

GLOBAL CENTER OF ACADEMICS, RESEARCH AND INDUSTRY

Japan has long been a leading force for research and development in many industries – from engineering and pharmaceuticals to robotics – and also has a strong academic community with a driven spirit as evidenced by its 25 Nobel Prize winners in areas such as physics, chemistry, and medicine. Japan has one of the largest national memberships within many international associations, and a strong tradition of hosting international groups and scholars.

FRIENDLY, ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE

As a part of their regular education, all Japanese students are required to study English.
Although all locals have studied English for at least three years, most study upwards of six to ten years. If you need information in Japan, you will have no problem being able to communicate in English. Some people may be shy or not be fluent, but they will be considerate and willing to help.

BUDGET TRAVEL

Although Japan has a reputation for being expensive, the variety of available accommodations and student discounts on transportation and sightseeing makes this destination affordable for even the most budget conscious tourist.
